Saturday 11th May and Sunday 12th May – Getting Ready for Mother’s Day
We will have art supplies and blank cards ready for last minute Mother’s Day card preparation on both days. Both Story Times on Saturday (11am and 3pm) will be dedicated to books and stories about Moms and the other influential women in our lives. And there will be a treat for each the Mommys who come in to the shop both days.
We will also be collecting diapers for Help a Mother Out. Please bring along any diapers that are too small for your children or pick up an extra pack when you are shopping, and place them in the tub in the shop.
Saturday 25th May – Bel and Bunna’s Books 3rd Anniversary Party
Be prepared to party all day at Bel and Bunna’s with events going on all day! We will also launch our 2019 Summer Reading Program – details will be on here and on social media nearer the time.
Monday 27th May – Memorial Day
We will be open from 12.00-4.00pm on Memorial Day.
Friday 7th June – School’s Out for Summer!
Join us at 4pm for a special story time and dance party with local author Kara Novolio, who will be sharing her new picture book Everybody Can Dance with us! A fabulous way to start the Summer vacation period!
Harry Potter Summer Reading Club
Every Monday, starting Monday 24th June 2019, we will be meeting at 6.15pm for a pajama-wearing Harry-Potter-reading party at Bel and Bunna’s. There will be a small charge each week (to cover snacks and HP related goodies) and guests will be expected to sign up before hand as space is limited. Children aged 8 and up can be dropped off and pick up will be 7.30pm sharp! (Parents, of course, are more than welcome to stay to listen!). The plan is to read a chapter per week. You will be able to find more details here from May 1st 2019.
The sign up will be open up on Wednesday May 1st. There will not be a club on July 29th or September 3rd. The club will run until the end of the book, and then will start up again for book 2!
