Lafayette Art and Wine Festival, 16/17 September

Bel and Bunna will be celebrating with the rest of Lafayette on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September. We have extended our hours and have lots of fun events planned – special story times, a collaborative art event with local author/illustrators Michael Slack and Lily Williams, face painting, crafts, snacks, treats etc etc! Costumes are encouraged and will be rewarded! Plus a special special raffle and an extra special visitor both days and limited edition Bel and Bunna bookmarks which are just available over this great weekend. Oh and our theme? Super heroes!

Birthday Party Information:

Parties are held on Sunday mornings, typically from 10am – 11.45am, when the shop is closed.

We charge a basic fee of $325 (including a $100 deposit to guarantee the booking) for up to 10 children. The figure of ten children includes the birthday child. This includes sole use of the space, Bel as host and storyteller, the ‘party bag’ gift for up to 10 children and a bookmark each. Further children are $20 a head, up to a maximum inclusive total of 20 children.

Parties at Bel and Bunna’s Books run from between 60 – 90 minutes:

30 minutes (approx) of story telling, which could either be themed (trucks, princesses for example) or just a selection of the child’s favorite books.
30 minutes (approx) of a craft and/or some games.
30 minutes (approx) of food/cake general milling around etc
Guests are welcome to stay on after the party is over, but the shop has to be returned to working order by 12pm when we open to the public. (This process takes usually about 15 mins and can be done around the guests with a minimum of fuss!)

Bel and Bunna’s Books will decorate for the party. You are welcome to bring balloons or personalized decorations in addition to the ‘house’ decorations.

Each party goer is given a book as a party bag (agreed on by the Wednesday before the party to allow for ordering), up to the value of $9.99 before tax per book. The host is welcome to add other items to the party bag if they so wish.

Summer Reading Program

Remember to turn in your completed sheets by 6pm on Friday September 1^st. Late submissions will not be accepted. The party for those who have completed the program will be on Sunday October 1^st at 5pm.
